Ideal candidates are adolescents (ages 10-17) who may experience the following:

  • History of treatment failures
  • Multiple medication trials without success
  • Repeated hospitalizations
  • Complex or confusing array of emotional and behavioral symptoms
  • Record suggestive of neurologic dysfunction
  • Substandard performance in specialized school settings
  • A need for time-limited evaluation and stabilization prior to entering a less intense setting, e.g. therapeutic boarding school
