Our staff members are highly trained and experienced individuals. We provide a 40-hour classroom-style orientation for staff when hired. Each staff member with direct care contact and responsibility is required to complete a minimum of 50 hours of training each year. This includes clinical therapists, nurses, mental health associates and other professionals. Additionally, we provide access to online training modules designed to keep skills sharp and expand each employee’s knowledge base. We want our staff to have the ability to effectively work with every child and we spare no expense in assuring this is accomplished. We enjoy extensive longevity across all areas at the facility. Many staff have been part of the San Marcos team for 10, 20 and even 30 years, devoting much of their career to serving the children and families who come through our doors. Our stability as an organization and continuous commitment to making a difference in the lives of children and families prompts us to assure quality, safety and continuity of care as hallmarks of our facility.
